– Eligible employees and dependents may participate in the

- Eligible employees and dependents may participate in the group

- Eligible employees and dependents may participate in the

Employee Life Insurance
- Eligible employees will be provided with group term life
insurance at eighteen (18) times their monthly salary at no cost
to the employee.
Additional Life Insurance
- Eligible employees may elect additional supplemental coverage
and dependent life insurance coverage.
Contributions are pre-tax.

Long - Term Disability Insurance
- Available to protect the employee against loss of income
during long periods of disability.

Short - Term Disability Insurance
- Available to protect the employee against loss of income
during short
periods of disability.

Accidental Death & Dismemberment
Insurance - Provides insurance benefits to be paid in the
event of a covered injury or death of covered employee.

Long – Term Care
Insurance - Provides a wide range of personal care, health
and social services for eligible employees, spouse, parents, and
parents-in-law who suffer a chronic disease or long-lasting
disability. Services
can be provided in a nursing facility, adult day care center or
at home. (Optional)
Legal Insurance
- Provides protection against many unexpected situations where
legal representation is needed.

SPENDING
ACCOUNTS:
Health Care Spending Account
- The Health Care Spending Account provides a tax shelter (tax
savings) on money that can be used to pay for eligible medical
expenses. (Optional)
Child (Dependent) Care Spending Account
- The Child (dependent) Care Spending Account provides a tax
shelter (tax savings) on money that can be used to pay for
eligible child care expenses.

State of Georgia Employees Retirement Plan - Eligible full-time employees are required to
participate in the Employees Retirement Plan.
Membership in the ERS requires pre-tax contribution. The
employee contribution is sheltered from federal and state taxes.
Employees are vested with ERS after 10 years of
continuous service, disability retirement eligible after 13
years and 4 months.
Deferred Compensation Program
- Eligible full-time employees may elect to accumulate
supplemental retirement income by participating in the 401(k)
and/or the 457 plan. This
is a tax deferred retirement savings plan in which the employee
can decide how to invest in the investment funds.

Holidays
- Twelve (12) holidays are observed per year.
Annual Leave
– Eligible full-time employees can earn annual leave
(vacation) depending on the length of continuous service at the
following rates:

Personal Leave
– Up to twenty-four (24) hours of sick leave, in excess of 120
hours, accumulated by an employee may be converted to personal
leave.
Sick Leave
- Eligible full-time employees earn sick leave at the rate of
five (5) hours per pay period in which they are in pay status
for at least 40 hours. Employees
earn up to fifteen (15) days per year.
OTHER BENEFITS:
Direct Deposit
- Employee pay checks are electronically deposited.
Workers Compensation
- All employees are covered by the Georgia Workers Compensation
Act. This act
provides payment for medical and hospital expenses as well as
disability compensation in the event an employee is injured
while performing job duties.
